IT Operations Specialist

About the Role

We are looking for a capable, hands-on IT professional to join our IT Support team at the Cuggiono site. You will be the main IT point of contact for local users, ensuring a smooth digital workplace, and you will work with our Group IT team and external partners on global initiatives. The role also includes active involvement in infrastructure and workplace projects, including server migrations, technology refresh initiatives and the rollout of global IT solutions. 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first and second-level technical support to employees via ticketing system, phone, email and remote assistance tools.  
• Troubleshoot Windows, Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook, OneDrive), printers and peripherals  
• Install, configure, and maintain PCs, laptops, mobile devices, and standard software.  
• Manage user accounts, passwords, and permissions in Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.  
• Run onboarding and offboarding activities. 
• Take part in server infrastructure projects, including the migration to Windows Server 2025 (preparation, testing, migration activities, post-migration checks) 
• Coordinate with external IT providers and vendors 
• Act as local reference for Group IT and support the local rollout of global IT projects 

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of experience in IT Support, IT Operations or similar roles.  
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server environments (file and print services, permissions, Group Policy, Active Directory basics) 
• Solid hands-on experience with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 in a business environment 
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, Wi-Fi). 
• Strong hardware troubleshooting skills. 
• Good problem-solving attitude and ability to learn quickly.  
• English at B2 level (written and spoken). 
   

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.  
• PowerShell scripting.
